IHS Engineering Products' Haystack for Windows Online, a parts and logistics system for searching the Federal Supply Catalog and several defense-related databases, now can access vendor contacts from the Defense Logistics Agency's Central Contractor Registration list and vendor listings.

Subscribers also get access to databases containing Federal Aviation Administration parts information and two databases of procurement and contract histories, product manager Dina Mobley said.

Haystack users query the databases over the Internet via proprietary software for PCs running Microsoft Windows.

The Englewood, Colo., company offers a free, 30-day trial subscription. The starting government price is $2,500 per year for unlimited access by one user.
