Software Performance Systems Inc. of Arlington, Va., and Computer & Hi-tech Management Inc. of Virginia Beach, Va., will provide e-mail services to the department's Administrative Service Center under the seven-year contracts.

The companies will work as partners with Transportation's Value-Added Niche Information Technology Services Special Project Office.

Software Performance Systems estimated its portion of the contract at $95 million; Computer & Hi-tech Management, which will also support systems deployment and migration, estimated its portion at $100 million.
