Daly Computers nets FEMA contract

AUG. 28—Daly Computers Inc. will provide technical support for Federal Emergency Management Agency operations in Region 10 under a four-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract.

The Gaithersburg, Md., company will field rapid response teams to prepare emergency operation sites for FEMA's disaster teams in Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho, company officials said. A rapid response team must set up a site within 72 hours of the initial call and provide help desk and on-site support until disaster relief is complete. Another contractor will supply information technology equipment and communications.

The contract fees are based on FEMA's usage. Company officials said they could not estimate what they might earn.
