Modem card doubles analog capacity

Intel's HD DMC-24 high-density digital modem card doubles the analog call capacity of its LanRover Access Switch and LanRover D56 concentrator.

The card comes with 24 modems and includes two slots for optional six-modem daughter cards that extend port capacity to up to 36 modems per card.

The card plugs into expansion slots on Intel's existing LanRover Access Switch or LanRover D56 concentrator. Each card has its own processor to maintain performance during peak call periods.

The HD DMC-24 is priced at $7,500, the HD DMC-30 at $8,500. Six-modem daughter cards are $1,000 each.
