Clinton names new VA CIO

President Clinton this month nominated Edward F. Meagher to become the next assistant secretary for information technology at the Veterans Affairs Department.

Meagher is president and chief technology officer of the Entertainment News Service of Great Falls, Va.

He would replace Robert P. Bubniak, who became acting chief information officer in June following the departure of Harold F. Gracey Jr. (see story, Page 66).

Meagher will bring nearly 20 years' experience in IT to his new job. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton and served in the Air Force.
