OCT. 31'The General Services Administration on Monday awarded Anteon Corp. a five-year contract worth an estimated $50 million for logistics services, company officials said.

Under GSA's Logistics Worldwide Multiple-Award Schedule contract, Anteon, of Fairfax, Va., will support, enhance, or replace existing federal agency logistic operations. Anteon and the Logistics Foundation of America, a partner in the project, plan to provide a variety of multimedia computer-based training, distance-learning courses and certification opportunities. Courses such as hazardous materials management, private fleet management, transportation finance and international shipment management will be featured.

Each of the indefinite quantity contracts awarded under the Logistics Worldwide schedule has a base period of five years, plus award term options to extend services up to a total of 10 years.
