Fast Ethernet switches offer Web interface

Two Ethernet switches from Compex Inc. of Anaheim, Calif., have Web interfaces that offer diagnostic readings.

The SGX3224 Managed Switch has 24 auto-sensing 10/100-Mbps Ethernet ports that can be segmented and remotely managed.

One port can be configured as an uplink, which on the standard switch connects directly to a neighboring switch or hub. The SGX3224 Plus has an uplink port to connect to a Gigabit Ethernet backbone.

A Web management application is built into both switches.

The SGX3224 is priced at $2,299 and the Plus model at $2,799.
