SSA negotiates security BPA

The Social Security Administration has negotiated a blanket purchasing agreement with Science Applications International Corp. for critical infrastructure protection support services.

Under the BPA, which could be worth up to $45 million, the San Diego company will do penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for SSA's Office of Finance, Assessment and Management. The office must assure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of SSA's information systems and assets. The test results will help SSA develop risk management strategies.
