Unisys federal group's future is uncertain

Unisys Corp. is mulling the sale of its U.S. Federal Government Group in McLean, Va., as part of a corporate downsizing after lower-than-expected revenue last year.

Spokeswoman Susan Beck told GCN last week that Unisys, of Blue Bell, Pa., 'is continuing to explore strategic options for the federal systems group, but the status remains unchanged' from last month's announcement of a possible sale. She said federal clients 'would not be damaged, whatever avenue we pursue. We will honor the contracts we have.'
