ETrust Single Sign-On can monitor app use

An upgraded product in Computer Associates International Inc.'s eTrust security suite controls browser access to applications.

CA's eTrust Single Sign-On 6.5, a follow-on to the Proxima 3.1 software that CA acquired last year along with Platinum Technology Inc., lets administrators build tables that keep track of authorizations to use intranet and extranet applications.

Previous versions of Proxima had been limited to client-server applications, said Lloyd Tanaka, a CA product marketing manager.

The upgraded software runs under Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 2000 and several versions of Unix.

ETrust Single Sign-On 6.5 lists for $75 per user.
