READERS SPEAK:

What's the most important thing that your agency needs to do to its Web site this year?

Streamline the Web pages. While webmasters like to play around with new technology like Java, JavaScript, Flash, RealPlayer, frames, etc., today's Web sites need to be lean, mean, speed machines. The best and most productive sites will be those that give the surfer options from the first page to the last. And this isn't just for the surfer that hasn't downloaded the plug-ins or software, but for the person that needs the information right now and can't wait around for fancy items to load. Escargot is great on the weekends, but meat and potatoes need to rule Monday through Friday.
