Bush taps Styles for federal procurement policy post

MARCH 23'President Bush will nominate Angela Styles to be administrator of federal procurement policy at the Office of Management and Budget, the White House announced.

Styles is the special assistant to the associate administrator for governmentwide policy at the General Services Administration. Previously, she was counsel to the Government Contracts Group at Miller and Chevalier Chartered in Washington, D.C.

If confirmed by the Senate, Styles would head the OMB office charged with interpreting federal procurement policy.

Before working at the Miller and Chevalier Chartered, she served as an associate with the Government Contracts Group at Baker & Botts and in the early 1990s was the program manager for the Central Office of Funds Management at the Texas Office of State Federal Relations.
