FBI names Ronald Dick as NIPC chief

MARCH 23—Ronald Dick has been appointed director of the FBI's National Infrastructure Protection Center.

Dick, who also will be the deputy assistant director of the National Infrastructure and Computer Intrusion Program, has worked with NIPC since September 1998 as chief of two sections: Training, Administrative and Outreach, and Computer Investigations and Operations.

'His energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism will serve to lead and inspire the employees of NIPC as they carry out their mission to protect the infrastructures of the United States,' FBI director Louis J. Freeh said.

Since 1997, Dick has held various positions in the field and at FBI headquarters.
