Systat lets users draw on SAS app

Systat 10, a new re-lease of the scientific desktop application from SPSS Inc. of Chicago, has a GraphExpress mode to draw graphs within SAS 8 for Microsoft Windows statistical software from SAS Institute Inc. of Cary, N.C.

GraphExpress has 20 graphics toolbar buttons that bring up dialog boxes and plotting options.

Systat 10 does mixed regression analysis, and it has new command and dialog options for temporary data sets. The Windows 9x and Windows 2000 version of Systat 10 requires 30M of free storage and sells for $1,299; upgraders from the previous version pay $299.

Use of Systat's GraphExpress feature with SAS 8 requires that SAS/Stat and SAS/Graph be installed on the same Windows system.
