FedCIRC signs up two companies to help with security incidents

The Federal Computer Incident Response Center has awarded contracts to two companies for security incident operations.

FedCIRC provides containment and recovery assistance to agencies that have suffered intrusions, virus infections or other violations of their information systems. It gave task orders to Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego and Predictive Systems Inc. of New York under the General Services Administration's Safeguard program.
