The mother lode of resources on accessibility products is Abledata, at www.abledata.com.

There are 18,000 products in the database, although not all are current.

The Abledata project is a massive undertaking, and many of the entries are marked as being several years old. It's a good place to start a search, but you might want to branch out to some large distributors that maintain inventories and publish print and online catalogs.

Abledata is most useful when standard solutions won't work but you're not yet ready to turn to a company such as Tash Inc., which designs custom systems for individuals.

A good source of Web links is www.kansas.net/~cbaslock/assist.html.
