Jeffrey S. Heimerman, director of the Technology Users Support Program for the Environmental Protection Agency's Technology Innovation Office, has won the Association for Federal IRM's May Leadership Award for providing online remediation training.

Heimerman led an initiative to provide interactive Internet seminars on remediation work. He said the program not only saves time and money but also creates 'an opportunity for staff development that organizations may have forgone because of budget and time constraints.'

AFFIRM recognizes exemplary work in federal IRM through its awards program.

John E. 'Jack' Potter will take over June 1 as the 72nd postmaster general. A 23-year employee of the Postal Service, Potter will be only the sixth postal employee to rise to the top spot. He will replace William J. Henderson, who has held the job for three years.
