PITAC receives two-year stay of execution

President Bush has given the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee a two-year reprieve.

The executive order authorizing the committee, which advises the president and leaders of various Senate and House committees, was to expire June 1. Bush's amendment to Executive Order 13035 extended the authority through June 1, 2003, the White House said. The president signed the order on what would have been the committee's final day.
