FEMA shuffles offices, creates IT service center

The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced last month that it would reorganize. FEMA Director Joe M. Allbaugh said the current organization did not fit President Bush's streamlining goals.

The reorganization plan sets up six directorates within FEMA: Regional Operations, Readiness Response and Recovery, Federal Insurance Administration and Mitigation, External Affairs, Administration and Resource Planning, and Information Technology Services.
