FBI adds to its site

The FBI has added two pages to its Web site to increase news content.

Launched last month and updated daily, the Media Round Up page, at www.fbi.gov/pressrel/roundup/roundup.htm, features stories about the FBI from other sites.

'We wanted the site to be updated every day,' FBI spokeswoman Susan McKee said. 'We wanted to explore a news site feature like CNN and something that brings us more to the forefront.'

The new Field News section, at www.fbi.gov/fieldnews/news.htm, is a weekly summary of recent operations at FBI field offices.

The additions are part of the bureau's sixth redesign of its Web site in the last six years. The site gets about 2 million hits a month and has more than 40 links.
