The Veterans Affairs Department this month awarded a $650 million contract to Logicon Inc. and a $34.55 million contract to Research Dynamics Inc. for systems services at VA's Austin Automation Center.
Logicon, a Herndon, Va., subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corp., will provide hardware, software, maintenance and infrastructure services, said Kraig Ruckel, chief of the technology infrastructure division at the Texas center. Research Dynamics of San Antonio will offer operational, support and data entry services.
Each contract has a one-year base period and nine one-year options. The contracts take effect Oct. 1.
