The Veterans Affairs Department this month awarded a $650 million contract to Logicon Inc. and a $34.55 million contract to Research Dynamics Inc. for systems services at VA's Austin Automation Center.

Research Dynamics of San Antonio will offer operational, support and data entry services.

Each contract has a one-year base period and nine one-year options. The contracts take effect Oct. 1.
