Coast Guard inks a deal for IT services

The Coast Guard has awarded a $17.8 million contract from systems engineering and technical services at its Aircraft Repair and Supply Center in Elizabeth City, N.C., to RS Information Systems.

The McLean, Va., company will operate and maintain logistics and maintenance systems for more than 200 aircraft at 25 air stations in the United States and Puerto Rico.

The Aircraft Repair and Supply Center maintains all Coast Guard aircraft and is responsible for procurement, accounting, inventory control, and storing and shipping aircraft parts, supplies and aeronautical equipment.
