FAA seeks comments on en route modernization

The Federal Aviation Administration is asking companies to comment on its En Route Automation Modernization plan.

After Friday, the comment deadline, FAA may make changes to the program, which will upgrade the system with which the agency guides en route aircraft, and post the new plan at www.asu.faa.gov/faaco.

FAA will award a contract for the project to a single bidder for services that will include systems engineering, integration, design and development, testing and deployment, and hardware and software replacement.
