Dorn confirmed by Senate for No. 2 OMB position

Nancy Dorn yesterday officially became the new deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget after the Senate confirmed her nomination. Dorn replaces Sean O'Keefe, who became NASA administrator last November.

Dorn will be responsible for preparing, managing and administering the budget and governmentwide initiatives across the executive agencies. Before coming to OMB, she was the assistant to Vice President Cheney for legislative affairs.

Dorn also served as the senior policy adviser to the Speaker of the House on defense, intelligence, trade and foreign policy matters.
