Marines name NMCI transition manager

The Marine Corps has officially chosen Richard Glover to be its program manager for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet. Brig. Gen. James Feigley, commander of the Marine Corps Systems Command, announced the appointment yesterday.

Glover, who was serving as the acting Marine Corps program manager, will take over all program management aspects of the Marine Corps transition to NMCI, which is expected to take place later this year. That transition includes cost, schedule, technical performance and administrative activities associated with NMCI, according to a release from the Marines.

Glover will work alongside Navy Rear Admiral Charles Munns, who was appointed last month as the central point of authority for the NMCI program. Glover previously worked as the assistant program manager for telecommunications and networks where he headed the Marine Corps Base Telecommunications Infrastructure Upgrade and the Network Infrastructure programs.
