LaserFiche suite links documents

The LaserFiche United enterprise document management suite, from the Long Beach, Calif., division of CompuLink Management Center Inc., has a central document repository that works with multiple browser applications.

To the company's document imaging and management platform, LaserFiche United adds an integrator's toolkit, database table maps and Microsoft Component Object Model documentation, said Thomas Wayman, marketing director for LaserFiche.

Add-on modules include LaserFiche WebLink for browser access, CD-ROM creation tools, a workflow suite, and tools for document scanning and electronic forms.

The suite's integration tools are optimized for the Microsoft SQL Server database manager, but LaserFiche United also can be accessed via Open Database Connectivity, ActiveX Data Objects, and Microsoft Object Linking and Embedding database interfaces, all under the Microsoft Universal Data Access framework.

List prices range from $20,000 for 50 users to $100,000 for 500 users.
