Jerome Landry

Retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Jerome A. Landry has joined the Cisco Global Defense and Space Group of Cisco Systems Inc. as an executive partner.

Landry, who worked in command, control, communications and computers with the Air Force, has also served on the boards of the Air Force C4 Association and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. Before Joining Cisco, he was a vice president of TRW Inc.

Robert J. Woods, former commissioner of the Federal Technology Service now with Affiliated Computer Services Inc., has been elected chairman of the Industry Advisory Council. IAC, established in 1990 by the Federation of Government Information Processing Councils, serves as a bridge between private-sector and government organizations.

Other newly elected members of IAC's executive committee include five vice chairmen: Renato DiPentima, former CIO of the Social Security Administration now with SRA International Inc., as government liaison; Linda Martin of Acquisition Solutions Inc., for professional development; Laura Floyd of Electronic Data Systems Corp., for communications; Don Arnold of E-Gov, for management and finance; and Sara DeCarlo of AT&T Corp., for programs. There was a tie in voting for industry liaison; Kathy Minchew and Mark Wilson will compete in a runoff election.

Donna Bennett, commissioner of the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Service, is among the incoming board members of the nonprofit group Women in Technology of Alexandria, Va. The new board took office after elections June 20.

Other board members are Paula Jageman of eCommerce Industries Inc., Kathy Torrence of Electronic Data Systems Corp., Sally Turner of American Management Systems Inc. and Helena Wisniewski of Aurora Biometrics Inc.

New members of WIT's executive committee are chairwoman Ana Maria Boitel of OP.X PLLC, chairwoman-elect Angela Drummond of SiloSmashers Inc., treasurer Amy Lemon of Arthur Andersen LLP and secretary Maureen Bigger of AXA Advisors LLC.
