Microsoft Corp. this week announced the appointment of Bill O'Leary as the senior director for health and human services in the company's state and local operations.
O'Leary served as secretary of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Health and Human Services from 1997 to 2001. He oversaw the development of MassCares, a data warehouse that helped the state deliver services such as child and after-school care and health insurance to low-income families.
He had recently been a fellow at the Heller Graduate School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass. O'Leary, a lawyer, also served as a court monitor for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
