Interior's Darryl White to retire

Interior CIO Darryl White, who is on detail as acting CIO of the Bureau of Reclamation, announced that he would retire from the federal government Aug. 15.

He said he had no immediate plans except rest and travel, and that employment with a private firm is a later possibility.

White's recent detail to the bureau came so that he could assist it with homeland security duties, an Interior spokesperson said. Hord Tipton, CIO of the Bureau of Land Management, was detailed to be Interior CIO.
