Marines award BPA to CDW-G

The Marine Corps Systems Command awarded a blanket purchasing agreement to the government division of CDW Computer Centers Inc. to buy servers, PCs, notebook computers and logistics management services.

The BPA, awarded this week, is for one year with two option years. The Vernon Hills, Ill., company plans to offer the Marines six IBM x-series servers, three IBM ThinkPad models and a custom configured NetVista server model to meet Marine Corps requirements, said Brian Schwartz, a company spokesman.

Schwartz said the Marines estimated the BPA is worth between $15 million to $25 million.

MCSC, based in Quantico, Va., provides lifecycle management of command systems and supplies.
