Air Force awards Titan GIS support contract

The Air Force today announced it has awarded Titan Corp. of San Diego a $69 million contract for geospatial information support services. The department issued the seven-year task order contract through the General Services Administration's Millennia Lite governmentwide acquisition contract.

Titan will develop new geospatial enterprise systems and move other Air Force and Defense Department systems to the new one under the Air Force's GeoBase program.

The goal of the GeoBase program is to change the way the Air Force and other Defense agencies acquire and implement geospatial information.
