Cuviello joins Lockheed Martin

Retired Lt. Gen. Peter Cuviello, the former Army CIO and director of command, control, communications and computers who retired in July, has joined Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Mission Systems as the vice president of information infrastructure, the company announced today.

Cuviello, who was replaced by Lt. Gen. Steven Boutelle as Army CIO, will focus on information management and integrated solutions for network-centric warfare at Lockheed Martin.

During his three-year stint at the helm of the Army's information programs and systems, Cuviello launched the Army Knowledge Online portal, an enterprisewide system that gives nearly 1.5 million users access to hundreds of Army pages and links.

Cuviello will help guide the corporation's systems engineering and integration efforts for network-centric information and intelligence systems across space, aeronautics, electronics and IT platforms, the announcement said.
