Navy awards anti-submarine support contract

The Navy has awarded a $107 million contract to Anteon Corp. for engineering and technical support for anti-submarine warfare and mine warfare systems, the company announced today.

Under the contract, Anteon, of Fairfax, Va., will provide the Navy Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic with systems modernizations and new system development and support for Atlantic and Pacific fleet ships, foreign military sales and shore facilities.

Joseph Kampf, Anteon's president and chief executive officer, said the contract represents a significant expansion of the support services that the company has been providing the fleet since 1993.
