NSA awards systems engineering contract

The National Security Agency has hired Impact Innovations Group of Atlanta under a $42 million contract to provide software and systems engineering work.

The contract, announced today for two base years plus three option years, will also cover improvement planning, implementation and system assessments, according to a company release.

The contract aims to improve the process by which NSA develops and manages systems and software in compliance with the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model best practices.

Last month, Impact announced it had won similar multiyear contracts with the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs for $38 million, National Archives and Records Administration for $21 million and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. for $12 million.
