Wojciak to lead Government Reform staff

Long-time House Government Reform Committee staff member Melissa Wojciak will take over Monday as committee staff director, replacing Peter Sirh.

Sirh is joining the law firm Patton Boggs LLP of Washington.

Wojciak, who has been deputy staff director under chairman Tom Davis (R-Va.), also served as Davis' staff director when he headed the technology and procurement policy subcommittee in 2001 and 2002.

Sirh had been staff director since January 2003 and previously spent 10 years as staff director in Davis' personal office.

Davis said Wojciak 'has been my go-to person for IT, procurement, e-government and competitive sourcing. Melissa brings tremendous experience and ability to her new post.'

David Marin will assume the deputy chief of staff role along with his current duties as committee communications director.
