Air Force hires help for ballistic missile systems

The Air Force Space Command has tapped SI International Inc. of Reston, Va., to provide ballistic missile defense engineering and technical services.

Under the $6 million deal'with an 11-month base period and a one-year option'SI will develop and maintain components for Ballistic Missile Defense systems.

SI is an incumbent vendor, having supported missile defense work at the command and the joint Strategic Command, formerly the Space Command, for the past seven years.
