Warren to act as DeCA's chef for IT

The Defense Commissary Agency has set up an IT program management office at its Fort Lee, Va., headquarters where the agency's CIO, Kendra Warren, will serve as acting program manager.

Warren, named CIO in 2002, is responsible for planning, developing, managing and testing a broad range of IT programs for the Defense Department's supermarket agency.

Before coming to DeCA, she was deputy director of financial information systems at the Air Force Materiel Command's Electronic Systems Center program office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

'As DeCA's catalyst for innovating best business practices and models across all mission and functional areas, Kendra will serve as a clearinghouse on both public and private-sector successes,' DeCa director Air Force Maj. Gen. Mike Wiedemer said in announcing the creation of the office.
