Biometrics site. The Defense Department's Biometrics Management Office and Biometrics Fusion Center have established a new Web site.

The site, at www.biometrics.dod.mil, offers biometric technology tutorials, test and evaluation updates, policy background, educational program announcements and information on government and industry partnerships.

'This comprehensive site offers a broad look into these latest developments and also provides a sounding board for visitors to share their interests in biometrics so that we may better understand the requirements of our DOD community,' BMO director John Woodward said in a statement.

Tracking deal. The Marine Corps has awarded a contract to AT&T Government Solutions of Vienna, Va., to track hardware acquisitions.

Under the $676,000 contract'awarded by the Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, Va.'AT&T software engineers will make the service's Virtual Program Management System accessible by a Web portal.

Engineers also will upgrade the system so it can link to other Marine Corps systems used to track purchases and provide systems analysis support to the program manager for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet and IT infrastructure.

AT&T has two subcontractors: Data Scientific Corp. of Vienna, Va., an Progressive Data Systems of Dumfries, Va.
