Councils revise Web portal

The American Council for Technology and the Industry Advisory Council have imported more technology into their newly joint Web portal.

The sister councils yesterday launched the updated portal to improve communication among their members, which include leading federal IT workers and vendors.

Using enterprise portal software from Plumtree Software Inc. of San Francisco, the site offers online meeting registration as well as workspaces to share documents and track projects.

Each IAC shared-interest group and other groups can have a secured community space to collaborate and review materials online.

The site will feature more inclusive calendars of events and conferences, better navigation and easier searching for new information, the councils said.
