Digital defenders get their due

The Business Software Alliance this month conferred its Cyber Champion Awards on several legislators and one educator for their efforts toward improving the digital world.

This year's champion awards went to Sens. George Allen (R-Va.) and Maria Cantwell (D.-Wash.), and Reps. Tom Davis (R-Va.) and Cal Dooley (D-Calif.). The alliance's first Cyber Education Champion Award went to Diane DeMott Painter, a technology resources teacher at Deer Park Elementary School in Centreville, Pa.
Painter shows her award with Bob Kruger, BSA's vice president for enforcement.
