OPM's next job fair to focus on IT

The Office of Personnel Management next month will sponsor an IT recruitment fair in New York City.

Marta Perez, OPM's associate director for human capital leadership and merit system accountability, said the job fair will cover many federal positions, but the focus will be on IT jobs.

The recruitment initiative takes place April 20 at Madison Square Garden. The fair will feature about 40 federal agencies and will include free workshops for attendees to learn about the benefits of working for the federal government, the preference for veterans, and effective resume preparation and interviewing skills.

This is the last of 11 job fairs OPM has sponsored around the country since last September.
