Capitol architect signs 10-year services contract

Avue Technologies Corp. has sold its workforce management services to the Architect of the Capitol in a 10-year deal worth more than $30 million, officials of the Tacoma, Wash., company announced today.
Avue will provide an online service supporting all of the architect's workforce management initiatives.
The architect becomes the first Avue client to purchase all 10 of the company's modules and turnkey content databases, company officials said.
The architect has used the company's position management, recruitment and staffing module since February 2003. That module manages tasks ranging from position classification and pay-rate determination to position advertisement, application intake and online testing of applicants.
The deal expands the architect's use of Avue's services to include individual and organizational performance management, employee and labor relations, injury compensation, training and development, workforce planning and forecasting, and assessment of equal employment opportunity efforts.
The Architect of the Capitol maintains, operates, develops and preserves the U.S. Capitol complex, which includes the Capitol, all congressional office buildings, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, U.S. Botanic Garden and Capitol Power Plant.
