Federal acquisitions are moving more toward governmentwide contracts, which was the topic du jour recently at an informational breakfast in Bethesda, Md., hosted by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association's Bethesda chapter.

Tiffany Hixson, director of the Commerce Department's Acquisition Solution Division, takes a turn at the podium. Hixson spoke on "Out of This World IT Solutions."

The program drew a full house of government and industry representatives including, from left, Craig Roberts, Don Lyles and John Williams of Northrop Grumman Corp.
