DISA issues call for overseas wireless support

The Defense Information Systems Agency has released a request for proposals for enterprise wireless services for Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.

Under the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization-Europe, DISA plans to award a single contract to support the U.S. Army Europe and other DOD and federal agencies within the United States European Command and Central Command.

The contract maximum is $114 million and it will run for up to 10 years, including a two-year base period with four, two-year renewable options.

The purpose of the wireless services contract is to provide a commercial global system for mobile telephone services, wireless personal digital assistant services and other wireless services for all DITCO Europe customers, according to the RFP issued on June 10.

The RFPs are due by July 13.
