Wait returns to PostNewsweek

Patience Wait, formerly a reporter with Washington Technology, has returned to PostNewsweek Tech Media as a reporter for Government Computer News, WT's sister publication. Wait left earlier this year to work in public relations for Lockheed Martin Corp.

'In her first tour of duty, Patience was a regular producer of great scoops, and we look forward to more of her hard-hitting, incisive reporting,' said Thomas R. Temin, PostNewsweek Tech Media editor-in-chief.

Wait, in collaboration with GCN reporter Wilson P. Dizard III, broke the story last year of high-ranking federal IT officials with bogus college degrees. Their work brought national awards to both GCN and Washington Technology. Wait's reporting also revealed how a nonprofit association in the federal IT market barred membership to companies that competed with the association's for-profit parent.

In her new role, Wait will cover, among other things, the Homeland Security and Defense departments and the industry-government intersection. She can be reached via e-mail, [email protected].
