Defense logistics unit awards tech support contract

NCI Information Systems Inc. of Reston, Va., was awarded a $7 million time and materiel task order contract to provide IT support and administrative services to the Defense Logistics Agency's Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service.

Under the contract, which will be performed primarily at DRMS headquarters in Battle Creek, Mich., NCI and subcontractor SAIC will support the service's local area networks, telecommunications infrastructure, and provide PC and IT help desk support.

The vendors will also offer asset management and logistics, midtier computing, information assurance and software applications development, according to an NCI release.

This contract supports approximately 530 employees and contractors in the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center and 1,300 others at more than 100 remote offices worldwide.
