Army awards IT, project management contract

The Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation in Orlando, Fla., has awarded a $61.6 million contract to NCI Information Systems Inc. for an array of IT support and program management functions.

Under the task order from the Corporate Information Office of PEO STRI, the Reston, Va., company will provide project management, network engineering, information assurance, asset acquisition and management, system maintenance, software and customer support, and other services in support of the IT infrastructure.

The contract work started Sept. 1 and will run for one base year with four option years. The contract was awarded under a U.S. Army Information Technology Enterprise Solutions Enterprise Mission Support Services Solutions task order.

NCI leads a team of subcontractors, which include Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego; Cherry Road Technologies of Parsippany, N.J.; Hewlett-Packard Co.; Integic Corp. of Chantilly, Va.; and Advantage Factory of Burlington, Wash.
