Senate wants continuity software

The Senate wants to improve the management and maintenance of its continuity-of-operations plans (COOP) by using commercial software.
In a notice
on FedBizOpps.gov released earlier this week, the upper house of Congress is seeking vendors to implement and support an online COOP plan management system.
The new system will give senators and their staff the ability to:
- Organize and maintain existing plans by incorporating the existing data
- Create new plans
- Update the plans online
- Provide security based on permission assignment and/or electronic signatures
- Link documents and other file types
- E-mail changes to the plans through a notification list
- Search the plans in a variety of ways.
Responses to the sources-sought notice are due by Jan. 18 and a request for proposals is anticipated in February.
