Navy awards $762m test-center contract

The Navy has awarded a $762 million contract to Computer Sciences Corp. for operations and maintenance of the Navy's Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center.

The contract is for three years with four three-year options, the company said today.

The center is a major range and test facility that provides deep- and shallow-water test and training environments for the Navy, CSC said.

The El Segundo, Calif., company's DynCorp Technical Services unit won the contract.

Under the contract, CSC will provide scheduling and conduct test programs, operation range instrumentation and test support systems. Work will be carried out at locations including Andros Island, the Bahamas, West Palm Beach and Cape Canaveral, Fla., and Yorktown, Va.
