Air Force taps NCI for medical IT work

The Air Force has awarded NCI Information Systems Inc. a four-year, $4.3 million contract for IT support for its 10th Medical Group.

Under the task order, the Reston, Va., company will provide on-site technical services to the medical group at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The service awarded the task order under its Network-Centric Solution Program. The deal is the first win for NCI under Net-Cents, company president Michael Solley said.

NCI has tapped Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego as its chief subcontractor.

The 10th Medical Group provides medical and dental services to more than 125,000 people, including active-duty officers and their dependents, retirees and more than 4,000 cadets.
